Career Voice Coordinators Announcements

Author Guidelines

We encourage members from all areas of the world to contribute to Career Voice to truly make this a global newsletter in information, knowledge, ideas and authorship. By sharing and becoming better acquainted with how we practice our profession, we can improve and provide better services and products to our clients. To make this a more efficient and effective process, some simple guidelines have been established:

  1. The main purpose of writing for our newsletter is to build a body of knowledge, share ideas and tools used, address issues/concerns of the field, report research results, etc. ---an article should not be self-serving-or self-promotional. However your web site and/ or email address link will be included.

  2. Submission format: a maximum of 700 words, in Arial font, 10-point size, black ink, no company or personal stationary, and sent as an attachment to your e-mail message. Writing style appropriate to an online newsletter.

  3. Include title, brief bio, photo, and contact info.

  4. Before submitting an article, please contact Annabelle Reitman, Career Voice Coordinator @ AnReitman@verizon.net to let her know your plans and the topic you would like to write about.

Submission deadline for the next issue of Career Voice is Friday, March 24, 2006.

Chapter News Column

A Chapter News Column has been initiated with the February 2006 issue. With this addition to the newsletter, ACP Internationals goal is to build and expand communications and relationships within its membership and chapter leaders. Chapter leaders can learn what other chapters are doing, share information and ideas, and adopt or build on activities, programs, services that have worked successfully in other chapters.

Chapter Presidents and Board members think about:

  1. What new significant initiatives has your chapter introduced?

  2. What innovated solutions has your chapter come up with to increase: membership, revenue, meeting attendance, volunteers?

  3. What have you done to improve or expand services to members?

  4. Have you introduced a new community service activity?

  5. Have you presented a cutting-edge professional development program that members felt was most beneficial?

  6. How do you partner with other local professional organizations to enhance or increase your memberships networking opportunities and professional development?

Send a brief description of the event/service including outcomes/results and who to contact for further information to Annabelle Reitman, Career Voice Coordinator: AnReitman@verizon.net. Description should be a maximum of 200 words, in Arial font, size 10. Submission deadline for the February issue is Friday, March 24, 2006.
